XR Mural
Blending physical and digital worlds through extended reality
An extention of the Cohort Mural, a collaborative artwork meant to express the culture and personalities of Cohort 12 of the Iovine and Young Academy, XR Mural is an experiment in blending physical and digital art through the medium of extended reality.
The extended reality component allows viewers to use their phones or headsets to better interact with the Mural, leaving their mark.
Starting with an ios Version for accessability, and finishing with a Vision Pro version that fully immerses the viewer in the mural, the project explores how digital layers can add depth, interactivity, and narrative to a physical artwork.
